✦ Synopsis

Oxygen-17 NMR measurements were used to probe the electronic structure in two transition metal oxides:

(Lao,6Sr,,,)(Co,,Cu,,)oy and (Lao,sBao,~)(Co,,Cu,3)OF. We find that the shift of the resonance in both materials can be deconvoluted into a temperature independent Knight shift and a temperature dependent Curie-Weiss shift, suggesting that localized and delocalized electrons exist simultaneously at high temperature. We discuss these observations in light of the complex local structure found within these materials.

## Abstract The water exchange of [V(H~2~O)~6~]Cl~2~ in aqueous solution has been studied as a function of temperature and pressure (up to 250 MPa), by measuring the ^17^O‐FT‐NMR. line‐widths of the free water resonance at 8.13 MHz.
