## Abstract The viscosity behavior of a high molecular weight fraction (MΜ„~__w__~ = 9.8 Γ— 10^6^) of dextran (B‐512) in aqueous solutions was studied at low and medium shear stresses, and its intrinsic viscosity was shown to be independent of shear stress.
