โฆ Synopsis
A bound state (\mathrm{CO}^{+})of (\mathrm{KI}) is found, which correlates to the atomic asymptote (\mathrm{K}\left(4 p^{2} P_{3 / 2}\right)+) I( (\left.5 p^{52} P_{3 / 2}\right)) and has an internuclear distance of (3.7356(88) \AA) and a dissociation energy of (893.1(50)) (\mathrm{cm}^{-1}). This is the first clearly characterized excited bound state in (\mathrm{Kl}) and will serve as an intermediate state for multiphoton experiments. โฒ94 Academic Press. Inc.
