A titanium:sapphire ring laser has been used in a high-resolution intracavity photoacoustic study of a natural sample of acetylene in the infrared region \(11480-11880 \mathrm{~cm}^{-1}\). The spectra show a dense structure of vibration-rotation overtone bands of \(\mathrm{H}^{12} \mathrm{C}^{12} \m
