The infrared absorption spectrum of SF6 embedded in large liquid He, clusters was studied in the range around 946.3 cm-' using a cw diode laser. A sharp peak ( fwhm < 300 MHz) accompanied by two weaker satellite bands of larger halfwidth ( = 1 GHz) were recorded for different mean He cluster sizes (

β¦ Synopsis
This note reports infmred spectra of SF6 and BC13 in argon matrices at 10 I( and 0.01 cm-' resolution. At this resolution we observe a wealth of structure not observed at the commonly used resolution of 05 cm-l or poorer-Analyses of such specrra will yield important information on the structure and dynamics of low temperature matrices.

True lineshape of the ug&) vibrational transition of 3zS02 isolated in an Ar matrix was measured with a high resolution (< 10m3 cm-\*) tunable diode laser spectrometer and temperature effects on line frequencies and linewidths are reported.
The Fourier transform infrared spectrum of SF 6 was recorded in a supersonic expansion jet of an SF 6 /argon mixture. The SF 6 :Ar seeding ratio was 2:3. The instrumental bandwidth was 0.005 cm Οͺ1 . A globar source and an MCT detector were used. A rotational temperature of approximately 30 K was ach
The infrared spectrum of the van der Waals complex CO-N 2 O has been recorded in the region of the n 3 N 2 O monomer vibrational band using a diode laser absorption spectrometer which incorporates a multipass cell and a pulsed jet. The spectrum has been completely analyzed using a normal asymmetric
