✦ Synopsis
The high resolution infrared spectrum of H 2 S in the 3300-4080 cm 01 region has been measured on a Fourier transform spectrometer. Altogether about 1948 lines have been assigned to the bands n 1 / n 2 , n 2 / n 3 , and 3n 2 of the isotopic species H 2 32 S, H 2 34 S, and H 2 33 S and the hot bands n 1 / 2n 2 0 n 2 and 2n 2 / n 3 0 n 2 of H 2 32 S. The energy levels derived from the lines in the three bands were simultaneously fitted for all different isotopic species. It was necessary to take into account several interactions; the strong Coriolis resonance between n 1 / n 2 and n 2 / n 3 , the other Coriolis resonance between n 2 / n 3 and 3n 2 as well as the Fermi resonance n 1 / n 2 /3n 2 . As an example it may be mentioned that for H 2 32 S 353 upper state energy levels with J max Å 18 were fitted using 80 variable parameters and the molecular parameters obtained reproduce the energy levels with a standard deviation of 1.3 1 10 04 cm 01 .
