โฆ Synopsis
Structural and dynamical effects on a RNA fragment in aqueous solution have been investigated by molecular dynamics simulations at atmospheric pressure and at two high pressures, 5000 and 12000 arm. The atomic fluctuations of the RNA fragment decreased and the diffusion of ion and water molecules was slower at high pressure. Radial distribution functions, average number and average lifetimes of the hydrogen bonds were analyzed for the water molecules.
