✦ Synopsis

A WDM-OTDM 40 GHz pulse source is obtained by highly nonlinear propagation of a sine-modulated signal into a Raman-pumped uniform DS fibre. Short pulses (3 ps width) are obtained over 30 nm. The pulse repetition rate is synchronous to an external electrical clock and OTDM multiplexing to 80 GHz is demonstrated.
