✦ Synopsis

The photoconductwlty of evaporated thin films of tctrAcnzoja,cd,j, Im]p~rylcnc and diphcndnthra[4,5,6a~cd, 4,5,6-Jkir?l)perylenc were obrervcd Tlxxe compounds, particularly the latter, were found to chow a very high photo-response cvcn under a h1g11 vacuum. The time rcsponw of the photocurrent is very sharp under a hgh vacuum, so that the reliable spectral respontc of the photocurrent could be observed. The photocurrents increase successively by exposing the films to oxygen. but no cffcct is observed by exposmg them to nitrogen and suiphur hcxafluoride (St,).
