A plane sound wave is obliquely incident on a semi-infinite elastic cylindrical shell (tube) which is mounted perpendicular to a rigid planar baffle. There is a circular hole cut in the plate, through which the tube is fitted snugly. The end of the shell, which protrudes through the baffle, is eithe

High-Frequency Scattering from a Semi-Infinite Cylindrical Dielectric Rod
An asymptotic high-frequency solution is presented for the problem of scattering of electromagnetic waves emanating from a ring source by a semi-infinite cylindrical dielectric rod. The problem is described by a Wiener-Hopf equation and then solved approximately. The solution involves two infinite sets of constants satisfying two infinite systems of linear algebraic equations.

## Abstract The scattering of electromagnetic fields at the edge of a semiβinfinite dielectric slab on a rising ground is considered. The solution procedure is reduced to the solution of an aperture integral equation (AβIE) for magnetic currents at the edge in the plane normal to the ground plane.
