Abstract
The ac conductivity is calculated taking into account combined scattering by polar optical modes and ionized impurities. For small electric fields oscillating in time the Boltzβmann equation is solved. Good agreement between Drude's simple theory and our calculation is obtained in the lowβfrequency range whereas the deviation in the highβfrequency range is appreciable.
