โœฆ Synopsis

Assuming that the conjecture of Okun and Pomeranchuk is valid, we derive the relations between elastic scattering amplitudes at high energy in the unitary symmetry models in which perturbation due to a symmetry breaking interaction is taken into account to any order. We also give results in three cases where the following assumptions on high energy scattering are included: (a) universality of the ratio of elastic to total cross sections, (b) addition of the Pomeranchuk theorem to the assumption (a), or (c) factorizability of total cross sections. It is shown that, at high energy, the equaliy of the total cross section of pion-nucleon scattering and that of kaon-nucleon scattering, which holds in the case of complete symmetry, is also valid in first order perturbation of the symmetry breaking interaction under bhe assumption (b) or (cl.
