✦ Synopsis

Certain tnplet-state aryi catrons rn mrcrocrystailine media display site-sphttmg of considerable energy (0.07-0.10 cm-t).

The different site species respond quite dlfferentIy to warming above 77 K, and the decay kinetics between 90 and 100 K mdicate some mterconversion of sites. The broad triplet ESR spectra found m glassv media appear to be envelopes of the much narrower spectra obtained m microcrystals.

The diffusion and drifi in each other's field of the ions and electrons in the tracks of hi&-energy electrons in nonpolar liquids is simulated by computer and the formation of singlet and triplet excited states on charge recombination is studied. Tracks of highenergy electrons are subdivided into tr
