✦ Synopsis

In this paper, He's variational approach is applied to the strongly nonlinear oscillators with high nonlinearity. Some examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness and convenience of this method. Comparison with the exact solutions is also made, revealing that the present method leads to accurate solutions.

In this paper, He's variational approach is applied to the nonlinear oscillators with discontinuities. We conclude that the method is very effective, accurate and convenient. Moreover, the approximate solutions obtained are uniformly valid for both small parameters and large parameters.

In this paper, we implement a new analytical technique, He's variational iteration method, for some strongly nonlinear oscillations. A correction functional is constructed by using a general Lagrange multiplier, which can be identified via the variational theory. The obtained approximate solutions a

In this paper, He's variational iteration method (VIM) is applied to nonlinear oscillators with discontinuities. We illustrate that the VIM is very effective and convenient and does not require linearization or small perturbation. Contrary to the conventional methods, in VIM, only one iteration lead

The variational iteration method (VIM) can be usefully applied for solving many linear and nonlinear scientific and engineering problems. In this note we show that He's approach for solving nonlinear equations, arising from the VIM, is, actually, Schröder's method presented in his classical work fro
