Hero of Cartao was a serialized short story written by Timothy Zahn and illustrated by Douglas Chaffee that appeared in Star Wars Insider magazine. It was separated into three parts: Hero's Call (Issue 68), Hero's Rise (Issue 69), and Hero's End (Issue 70). It featured such characters as Jafer Torles and the pre-existing Zahn character of Kinman Doriana. It took place in 21 BBY and was essentially the story of how the Spaarti cloning cylinders came to Wayland. Caught between the Republic and the Separatists, the Spaarti cloning facility becomes a flashpoint in the Clone Wars.
