He usually holes up for the holidays alone in a remote area, just so he can avoid the holiday cheer. However, this year he finds the sprawling homestead he rented in a sparsely populated mountain town is unavailable when he arrives. After a heavy snowfall blocks the roads in and out of Love Valley, he is forced to stay in a non-working Inn with the Christmas obsessed owner, who seems determined to force her holiday mania on him.

Can they both overcome the griefs of their Christmases past and embrace the love of Christmas present? Can they find the joy of Christmas in their hearts once again?
