✦ Synopsis
Abstract
Percutaneous ethanol injection (PEI) is an option for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) treatment that is most effective for solitary lesions ≤5 cm or multiple lesions ≤3 cm. Malignant seeding along the needle tract is a rare complication of the procedure. We report a case of tumor seeding along the needle tract following PEI treatment for HCC arising 21 months after treatment. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Clin Ultrasound, 2008

We present two cases of patients experiencing needle track seeding after undergoing percutaneous ethanol injection therapy (PEIT) for small hepatocellular carcinoma, who were treated by surgical resection of the metastases. One patient demonstrated metastatic tumors due to needle track seeding 6 mon
## BACKGROUND. Percutaneous ethanol injection therapy has been used widely for small hepatocellular carcinoma. This study was undertaken to determine factors predictive of local recurrence or new nodular recurrence in patients with small hepatocellular carcinoma treated with percutaneous ethanol in
## Background: The objective of this study was to identify clinical, biochemical, ultrasound, and/or pathologic parameters capable of predicting survival in a cohort of patients with well compensated cirrhosis and small hepatocellular carcinoma (hcc) who were treated with percutaneous ethanol injec
