## Abstract Xenobiotic diacylglycerols (DG) may induce pathological disorders by causing abnormal chromosomal segregation, which could be aneuploid. In this study, seven xenobioticβdiacylglycerols (four of drug origin and three of pesticide origin) were evaluated for their ability to induce aneuplo

β¦ Synopsis
This procedure is to be used to detect responses to genotoxic agents in fish through quantification of the number of micronuclei in hepatocytes of the teleost liver.
SCOPE
This procedure is applicable to the following:
- Fish sampled from waters contaminated by discharges of industrial effluents, in-place pollutants, surface runoff, and other sources of chemical contamination. 2. Fish exposed in the laboratory to chemical or physical genotoxic agents by an appropriate dosing method (e.g., intraperitoneal injection, gavage, or water borne exposures).
The hepatic micronucleus assay may be a
valuable in uiuo testing method or environmental biomonitoring tool for the assessment of the toxic impact of environmental genotoxic agents and carcinogens.
PRINCIPLE
Genotoxic agents and carcinogens in the environment initiate their toxic impacts on organisms at the sub-cellular level. Some of these 4.0 4.1. 4.1 4.1 4.1

Chlorination is a widely used method for disinfection of drinking water supplies. Reaction of chlorine with naturally present organic compounds can result in toxic by-products. One major disinfection byproduct from the chlorination of drinking water is dichloroacetic acid (DCA). This chemical has be
