Henkel has commissioned a new detergents and cleaners plant in Turkey. €30 M was invested and 250 new jobs created. The new plant will produce around 200,000 tonnes/y of detergents and cleaners. Henkel increased its sales by 13% in 2008 to €2.5 bn, with Turkey accounting for 10.9%, Russia 21.2% and Poland 13.8%. Elsewhere, Henkel India Ltd has introduced an upgraded version of its premium detergent brand Henko Stain Champion incorporating the anti-bacterial and disinfectant neem.
