โฆ Synopsis
an leaders make a positive difference in their organizations? If so, how? I set out to answer these questions when I began work on my latest book, You Can't Order Change. rather than address them in the abstract, I focused on one great leader-Jim McNerney, Boeing's Ceo. the book's title derives from a comment McNerney made while Ceo of 3M: "You can't order change; after all there's only one of me and 75,000 of them." You may not have heard of Jim McNerney, and that's partially because he does not seek the media spotlight. In fact, he much prefers to focus on making the organizations he leads shine through his leadership of their people. In this article, I'll focus on why I chose McNerney and how he improves organizations-one employee at a time.
