John Crane has introduced a new version of the John Crane CSelect software.

It is now available compatible with the requirements of the latest edition of the American Petroleum Institute standard: API 682. The new CSelect682 software allows the user to manage the selection of John Crane sealing technology according to the stipulations of the revised API standard that was issued late last year.

John Crane claims to be the first seal manufacturer to qualify products to comply with this revision, and the new software eases the task of their specification for individual projects. The software is available on a multi-lingual CD-ROM, CSelect682, and allows the user to complete the seal selection element of an API 682 seal datasheet electronically.
