Abstract
Small‐signal gain is an important characteristic within the framework of overall traveling‐wave tube (TWT) performance. The fabrication tolerances can determine different performances with respect to the required ones. In this letter, an accurate evaluation of the effect of the helix wire tolerances on the TWT small‐signal gain is proposed.
