Helium for the Common Market

Airco Industrial Gases, a division of the Air Reduction Co lnc, has formed joint ventures with L'Air Liquide, France and Messer Griesheim, Germany to supply liquid and gaseous helium throughout the Common Market. This operation makes Airco the World's largest supplier of liquid helium. The company has since November last year been supplying liquid helitm~ to the Kabushiki Kaisha Japan Hehum Center for dist ribution throughout Japan.

The firsl Emopean shipment arrived at ke H:wre on !o Juile ell route for L Air Liquide. The helium was carried m new 8 500 gallon (40 000 1) containers. These were designed by Airco and Cryenco lnc of Denver and manufactured by Cryenco.
