contents of the charcoals produced from the soft woods are > 70 wt % and of the same order as that of the Rhyzophorae. Similarly, the calorilic values of all charcoals do not differ significantly. Thus it may be concluded that these woods can be used instead of the Rhyzophorae to produce industrial grade charcoal. Of particular importance is rubberwood; this is available in fairly large quantities from the replanting of rubber plantations which is carried out throughout the year.
