The abundance and distribution of Cd, Cu, Fe, Mn, and Zn in the water of Lake Teganuma, one of most hypereutrophic lakes in Japan, and from its two main inflow rivers were investigated. The heavy metal concentrations in Teganuma water were in the range of the world's 'unpolluted' lakes, although the
