Heat transfer measurements for the two-phase flow of water/air and gas-oil/air mixtures in a vertical tube are described.

Much attention has been given to the contribution of the heat-transfer section of the tube and the thermocouples for measurements of its wall temperatures so as to obtain accurate results.
