Transient heat transfer experiments were performed using the "filament methode", where a thin monofilamentary NbTi/Cu wire is supplied with a 50 Hz ac current of an amplitude above Ic. The filament behaves as a 100 Hz heater and, via the temperature dependence of Ic, as its own thermometer. Above Tc
