✦ Synopsis

At 1.3"K the heat conductivity of thuringian glass is 8. 1O-5 cal cm-1 deg-' set-'. Introduction. To be able to estimate beforehand the degree. of heat insulation of a glass calorimeter to be constructed, we wanted a value of the heat conductivity of thuringian glass at a temperature of about 1°K. We made some measurements with a very simple apparatus which gave an approximate value of the heat conductivity.

In a previous paper the author presented the results of a detailed and systematic study of the thermal conductivities of ten very pure metal specimens. For four of the specimens measurements in both the normal and superconducting state were made. In this paper some of the superconducting state resul
