We report low-temperature รฐTX40 mKรž magnetization measurements on YbRh 2 Si 2 and YbIr 2 Si 2 at magnetic fields up to 11.5 T and under hydrostatic pressure Pp1:35 GPa. The magnetization slope in YbRh 2 Si 2 changes drastically under pressure, while that of YbIr 2 Si 2 is less sensitive to pressure.

The specific heat capacity c of 2-methylpentane was measured with an accuracy of "2 per p cent with a high-pressure calorimeter. The results of these measurements are presented for the pressure range 0.1 MPa to 756 MPa at the temperature 299 K.
