✦ Synopsis

Poljl(L-valinc) (PL V ) belongs to the class of palyamino acids having a bulky sidc chuin. It prejcrab1.v adopts the @-.sheet confbrmation, although high molecular weight PL V may, form an a-helix as well. In the prcwnt article we report a detailed .stud?> ofthe phonons and their dispersion,fi,r @-PL V and the .spectra ofoligovulines in relation to its polymcric, fiwm. The N-deuterated analogue qfP-PL V has also been studied fo check the corrc'ctness ofassignments und,fi)rce ,fidd. Density ofstates and heat capacity have hmn obtained.
