✦ Synopsis


Calculations are presented for a constant-volume gas thermometer used as an interpolating instrument between fixed points in the range 3.2-25 K and using He-3 as a working gas. In addition to the accuracy of the fixed point realizations, it is shown to limit the additional interpolation uncertainty within 0.1 mK, with a suitable choice of design parameters. A study on the dependence of the uncertainty of the main design parameters is also presented, which shows that their choice is not critical.
