BOOK REVmWS required to hold the necessary amount of metals in solutions, and that the sulphide in the ores was derived from the connate brines.
Lead isotopists present their explanation of the remarkable fact that in the North American deposits the lead isotope composition is of the J-type (suggests a later age), whereas most European deposits are of the B-type (older than the deposition). It is suggested that this must indicate two different paths of origin.
The monograph is of special interest to ore geologists but geochemists, isotope geologists and mineralogists will also find much valuable information in the book.
