โฆ Synopsis
Nonlinear scattering functions are a linearized representation of a nonlinear circuit under arbitrary large-signal conditions for the linear-equivalent design of nonlinear circuits. They are computed from a harmonic-balance nonlinear simulation of an active device, and their values are compared to the experimentally measured ones. Excellent agreement is found, revealing that they are, in fact, identical and confirming the validity and generality of the approach. With their use, linear computer-aided design concepts can be extended to nonlinear circuits in a rigorous way.
