✦ Synopsis

In this study, which is part of more extensive research on cyclic strain localization, results for hardness vs. plastic strain amplitude measurements of copper polycrystals fatigued up to fracture are given. In addition, the dislocation structure is reported and correlated with the hardness data. Moreover, the hardness at the surface and in the inner material are compared.
