I+.& effect spktra have been observed for AlKI PN. PN & generaiecl in a microwave discharge and flowed into n fluorescence cell where it is optically excited by a PN emission lamp. The Hanle effect s&u1 for the v' = 0 band is fitted to D cal-&late! signal; determin@ a radiative lifetime for the band of 227 + :'O ns.

We ktve used the inelasticelectron-photon coincidence method to measure the radiative lifetimes of the first seven vibrational levels of the A 'l-t state of CO. They were found to decrease to a minimum wlue at V' = 3 before increasing again.
