โœฆ Synopsis

The company has added high-energy fueling and low-cost processing to bring the technology closer to commercialization. These advances are claimed to provide Nanotech Fuel Cellsโ„ข with performance significantly above portable fuel cells based on scaling-down conventional technology.

High-energy fueling uses a unique, compact hydrogen delivery attachment, which is disposable and readily replaceable at low cost.

Continuous processing of the extremely thinfilm electrochemical materials provides low-cost fabrication, perhaps as low as 10-20% of the manufacturing cost of competing systems. The company says the technology can generate continuous power from an exceptionally lean amount of hydrogen in air, by 'energy harvesting'. The resulting fuel cells are claimed to offer a more than 10-fold improvement over present energy density and operating times, and reduce the weight of the system by up to 95%.
