✦ Synopsis
Exophthalmic goitre is not relatively so prevalent as other types of goitre in Switzerland, but the pages devoted to it are written with the same knowledge and judgement as is the rest of tlie book. Altogether Professor de Quervain has compressed into 215 pages an astonishing amount of information of the highest order. It bears no evidence of compression.
It covers the ground so well that singularlllittle of importance is omitted. On some matters it is illuminating to a degree, and on all it is most helpful.
The reviewer has not seen the original, but it seems to have lost nothing in the process. For all one can tell, it might h a w been written by a master of English, and both Professor dc Quervain and Dr. Snowman arc to be congratiilated.
It is lucid.
