## Chemistry The unique halogenated monoterpene, 7-bromo-2,6-dimethyl-4,4,8-trichloro-l,5(z)-octadiene-3-one, was isolated from the marine red alga Plocamium. Polyhalogenated monoterpenes have been reported from several species of the genus Plocamium'y2. \_\_-Our examination of a Plocamium species
