The emf of the cells Ca/Ca'0) I Pb'o , a1 /Pb, with liquid NHs and liquid NH, containing 20 mol-% KSCN or NH,SCN, as solvents, was measured at -34°C . In the thiocyanate solutions no metallic solution of calcium is formed and the calcium potential follows the Nernst dependence on concentration with n = 2 . The emf measurements indicated that the standard oxidation potential of calcium in liquid NHa on the lead scale is Ec, .caa+ > + 2485 V (at -34°C).

In den Rhodanid enthaltenden Lusungen geht Kalzium nicht-metallisch in Losung and das Potential des Kalziums gehorcht der Nernst'schen Gleichung mit n = 2 . Am den EMK-Messungen wurde das Standard-Oxydationspotential des Kalziums in flussigem Ammoniak auf der Blei-Skala zu Eca .oss+ > + 2485 V bei -34°C bestimmt .
