The first in Gerhardsen's '' Hammarby series of crime novels that take place in the southern parts of Stockholm. The issue of schoolyard bullying among young children and the effect it has on them when people look the other way lends itself to the premise and various scenes of this story, which is based on some of Gerhardsen′s own childhood experiences. In a short space of time, several beastly murders occur in central Sweden. When criminal investigator Conny SjГ¶bergt and the Hammarby police begin to discover that there′s a link between the murders, SjГ¶bergt goes completely cold.
