decrease in inhibitor efficiency and increase of inhibited oxidation rate at 80°C. At 100°C the kinetic characteristics of the three samples being oxidised exibit no difference. At room temperature the fatty alcohols again d o not change the oxidation stability and the oxidation rate of the inhibited lipid system.
The peculiarities observed in the kinetic behaviour of the inhibited lipid system in the presence of 1tetradecanol agd 1-octadecanol at the different temperatures can be explained with the different activation energies of the elementary reactions of oxidation in the presence of the two alcohols. In such cases no predictions are possible. The only reliable answer in this respect can be given by the experiment.
