Development of criteria for training in Nuclear Cardiology has been a high priority since the founding of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. The following position paper "Training in Nuclear Cardiology" is the result of a close collaboration between the American College of Cardiology (COCATS Task Force 5) and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (Training, Credentialing and Licensing Committee).

This document has been endorsed by the Board of Trustees of the American College of Cardiology and the Board of Directors of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. This position paper is also published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology in January 1995.
