Guidelines for the preparation of manuscripts ~pes and length of contributions
The following contributions from the whole field of neurosurgery and neurosciences will be accepted: 9 Review articles/invited papers -coverage of theoretical and practical aspects of one particular field (only after previous arrangement): Manuscript: length according to previous arrangement. Abstract (approx. 200 words). 9 Original contributions -new results, particularly from the clinical and experimental areas. Manuscript: approx. 8 typewritten pages. Abstract (as a. m.). 9 Short communications/Preliminary reports/Case reports -rapid publication of new/preliminary results. Manuscripts: maximum 3 typewritten pages, 1 figure, 1 table. Abstract (as a. m.).
9 Technical notes -immediate information on the characteristics of new instruments or methodological improvements from the clinical or experimental field. M~muscript: maximum 2 typewritten pages, 1 figure. 9 Letters to Editors -permitting exchange of views and information on controversial topics discussed at conferences and meetings etc., and comments on previously published material with absolute minimum delay. Manuscript: maximum 1 typewritten page. 9 N.B.: Terminology of papers should be clearly understandable even to nontheorists. Article lengths as given above refer to DIN-A-stationery (29.4 โข 21 cm), single sided, one-and-a-half or double-spaced, 26 lines pet' page at 60 spaces per line.
