โฆ Synopsis
This issue contains a reviewed collection of a portion of work under study by Iranian analytical chemists. The aim of the issue is to present recent progress and possible future developments in the field of analytical chemistry with a special focus on promoting scientific cooperation in Iran. All articles have been reviewed by three renowned experts in the respective areas and, if needed, submitted to an additional referee. The articles in this issue cover a variety of areas in analytical chemistry and I hope that the readers of Microchemical Journal will find them interesting.
I thank all the authors of the contributed articles for their enthusiasm. Special acknowledgment is due the referees of the manuscripts who sacrificed so much of their time to improve the quality of the issue.
I am grateful to the Editor-in-Chief of Microchemical Journal, Professor Joseph Sneddon, for his cooperation, encouragement, and support of the entire initiative.
The effort and enthusiasm of pioneers of analytical chemistry in Iran, Professor A. Massoumi (formerly at Shiraz University) and Professor S. M. Golabi (Tabriz University), are greatly appreciated.
Finally, I express my sincere gratitude to my colleagues, especially Professor M. Shamsipur, who so generously contributed to this special issue of Microchemical Journal.
