The importance of polyurethane based paint materials is increasing because of the good corrosion resistance of the coatings and of the possibility to use the polymer in high-build lacquers. The range of products being investigated includes materials obtained by reaction with polymers containing hydroxyl groups, so that it is possible to make use of some properties of combined materials. The review contains a lot of material showing relevant papers and potential new applications. -Pu.
