✦ Synopsis

the book and can enjoy reading it even if they do not 'learn anything new' from this economist's tale. Students, and young researchers embarking on work in Africa, could gain a lot from this book. I will add it to the reading list of my Masters module on Development Policy Analysis, as a clear and readable case study of why economic policy so often fails to deliver.
