β¦ Synopsis
We report on the preparation and structural characterization of YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7 /La 0:7 Ca 0:3 MnO 3 and La 0:7 Ca 0:3 MnO 3 / YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7 bilayers onto (1 0 0) SrTiO 3 substrates. The samples have been fabricated by sequential dc sputtering processes in high oxygen pressure starting from stochiometric targets. The critical temperature of the YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7 single layer was T c Γ°q ΒΌ 0Γ ΒΌ 91 K and the metal-insulator transition temperature (T MI ) of the manganite single layer was T MI ΒΌ 135 K. The structural characterization of the bilayers has been performed by X-ray diffraction analysis revealing highly epitaxial heterostructure with well defined interface for both kind of samples.

The magnetic field responses of the zero-bias conductance peaks (ZBCP) in tunneling spectra of YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7Γd / La 0:67 Sr 0:33 MnO 3 (YBCO/LSMO) junctions are investigated. Two different responses of the ZBCP are shown. One is insensitive to the field up to 9 T, the other is highly sensitive and
