✦ Synopsis
In this paper we construct a Green's like function for a linear integrodifferential problem with impulses. Then, we prove a new comparison result which permits us to develop the monotone iterative technique and to show the existence of extremal solutions for a nonlinear integrodifferential problem.

This paper is mainly concerned with the existence of solutions of first order nonlinear impulsive fractional integrodifferential equations in Banach spaces. The results are obtained by using fixed point principles. Further, some interesting examples are presented to illustrate the theory.
Comparison principles play an important role in the qualitative and quantitative study of differential equations. In this paper, we establish new maximum principles for impulsive functional differential equations.
