✦ Synopsis
Abstract
magnified image A fast, efficient synthesis of 5‐substituted‐1,3,4‐thiadiazole‐2‐thiols was successfully developed, assessed using green chemistry matrices, and compounds were screened for their in vitro nitrification inhibitory activity. The greener method was superior with higher energy efficiency, E(nvironmental) factor, atom economy, atom efficiency, carbon efficiency, and reaction mass efficiency. J. Heterocyclic Chem., (2010).
