✦ Synopsis

In this paper, the stability criteria are used to graphically determine the startup of oscillation in a Smith chart. This approach is suitable for slightly unstable circuits near the resonated frequency. In practice, an a¨ailable design of a microwa¨e two-port oscillator is presented here.
